New GR single-story apartment complex has a putting green

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A new apartment complex with 250 units has opened in Grand Rapids.
Savannah at Waterford Village, located at 500 Savannah Drive off of Lake Michigan Drive, offers 250 single-story apartments split across 39 buildings. The apartments have “numerous lifestyle conveniences similar to single family living,” including attached garages, private entries and patios, Stoneleigh Companies, LLC, said in a Monday release.
The 52-acre property offers several amenities, including a private club, a bark park and a putting green.
Stoneleigh, an Illinois-based company, has also partnered with ArtLifting to display pieces from seven artists who have been impacted by homelessness or disabilities.
The 250 units chip away at the thousands of housing units Kent County, faced with a housing crisis, desperately needs. A 2022 Housing Next Housing Needs Assessment found the county needs 35,000 housing units by 2027.
